Title: Lake Mungo
Year: 2010
Sub-Genre: Supernatural, Mockumentary.
Read our full review HERE.
Lake Mungo is about as subtle as a Horror movie can get, and yet somehow, it managed to skeeve us out like few other movies have been able to do in recent years. The whole thing is played so straight, that it feels as if it's a true story that we're peeking in on, and maybe that's part of the reason that it's so damned eerie.
*ICYMI: There are four people in that picture above.

Hi J.S greer
ReplyDeletecan u explain to me what is 31 days of horrors. Is it a tv channel who present 1 horror movie each October day ? Sorry to be late , I am only curious. Is there any chance to have a Halloween horror movies list ? all stories who have a link with Halloween day
The 31 Days of Horror is a countdown that we do to highlight 31 movies throughout October. I wish we had a channel to show these movies to everyone.
DeleteAnd yes, there will be a Halloween movie list. This weekend!
I watched this movie shortly after it came out. It was so subtle that if I hadn't gotten it as a title labeled under the horror genre I would not have been sure that's what it was until 2/3rds of the way through. It was simultaneously wonderfully eerie and very sad, as it seems more at times like a documentary about grieving and coping with loss than a found footage / faux documentary horror movie. I loved it though.
ReplyDeleteSpot on with everything you just said, Jasper.
