Do you have a request, question, or suggestion? Well then submit it here!

Is there a particular movie that you'd like to see reviewed? Do you have a random question about a movie that you desperately need answered? Do you have any suggestions for us that don't involve jumping off of a bridge or shutting up?

Between comments, emails, Facebook messages, and Twitter messages, our fellow Horror fiends are always asking us things like:

  • "Are you going to review _______?"
  • "Is it worth our time to watch _______?"
  • Telling us how much we "Really need to see _______."
  • Or wondering what a particular movie was, or where one of the pictures that we use comes from.

And since you're all technically in our little Horror Club, you should absolutely be able to sound off about whatever is on your mind, or push us towards movies that you'd like to see, but would rather not bother with until you've heard the good/bad word from a source whose opinion you trust.

So with that in mind, we'll be making this post a permanent Sidebar item, and leaving it there for eternity, all so that you can leave your Movie Suggestions & Review Requests in the comment section. All you really have to do is:

  • Click the banner on the sidebar
  • Leave a comment on this post.
  • Specify what you'd like to see reviewed, or ask a question, or suggest something.
  • Wait patiently for our response.

Keep in mind that we won't always have access to the movies you want to see reviewed, and sometimes we just won't want to see certain things (don't ask us to review Twilight), but we can promise that we'll always try to get you the info that you need, or review the movies that you suggest. At the very least, we'll tell you why we can't/won't.

Enjoy!

  1. Alright, I'll start:

Are you going to review EX_MACHINA?
Are you going to review LOST RIVER?

I know, both of them are not strictly horror. But I really enjoyed watching these films in the theatre and would like to read your take on them.

    1. Phil, you will eternally be #!!

We will definitely be reviewing EX_Machina, as it looks fantastic. We will most likely catch it when it hits VOD, but we will still try to swing a theatrical trip if we can. *It's only playing a 7 and 9 P.M. by us, and that's not usually the best time for us to watch our movies.

As for Lost River, probably not. I saw Lost River, and forget the fact that I didn't really like it (style was great, acting was solid, story was a joke), but there's really no way to review it without being acerbic about it. If I broke that movie down, it wouldn't be a review so much as a dissertation on themes and allegory, and I would do little more than bitch about it. The movie deserves a bit more than that, I think.

      Danke, Phil!

    2. Okay! Definitely looking forward to your EX_MACHINA review then. ;-)

Fair enough about LOST RIVER. It most definitely isn't for everyone. To maybe drum up at least a little interest by fellow followers of your blog, I'd like to mention that I was reminded of BLUE VELVET (an all time favorite of mine) several times during the screening. So, if you're a fan of the David Lynch classic as well, you might still want to check out Gosling's effort.

  2. You guys are so on top of it I'm usually following your queue. It's hard to go back and check but did you ever get to It Follows?
Just watched The Harvest and was interested in what you guys would think.

    1. Hey Mob, hope you've been well.

I have seen It Follows, but a few of us haven't, so the review will have to wait until they catch up. After this weekend most likely.

And our review for The Harvest is about 50% done. The Harvest had some issues, but overall I liked it a lot. Michael Shannon is the man. I also watched an interview with Emily Mortimer where she talked about how she was severely abused as a child, which made watching her dark character in The Harvest way creepier to me.

  3. Hey I know Unfriended just came out but I was wondering if you were ever going to review it? You never reviewed Pyramid or The Lazarus project even though both of them had a larger release in theaters. Thanks for your time and keep doing what you're doing.

    1. You know, we usually tend not to review the "bigger" theatrical releases, mainly because:

A: Everyone else does, and instead of adding our review to the hundreds of others, we try to focus on "smaller" movies that need the attention.
B: When a movie like The Pyramid of Lazarus have the pre-release buzz of being bad, it makes us shy away a bit.

We really havve to stop doing that.

So yes, we will review Unfriended. Right after we finish writing up It Follows.

      Thanks for the nudge :)

  7. Hi there.

Lovely site. I especially like how you come down on the jump scare ending. Thank you for pointing out lazy writing.

I just wanted to know the names of the films that feature in your title banner: the possessed yellow girl, the bloodied blonde and so on? I tried reverse image search but all roads lead back here.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

    1. Thank you for the kind words, Anon. We use reverse image search for pictures all the time, and it doesn't aklways work for us either.

The pictures, from left to right are...

      Blind Girl: The Dark (2005)
Bloody Girl: T is for Twig (a rejected short from The ABCs of Death)
The Pointing Guy is Franco Nero from Keoma.
And the last one is an alternate poster for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.

It was quite popular in Holland, Belgium and Germany but you don't have to be from those parts to appreciate the movie. And I personally think the movie deserves more recognition.

As always, lovely work. I watched 'Let Us Prey' on your recommendation and really, well worth it.

One Question: Down the right hand side border of your site, after '2008: The Year in Horror', there's an image of a woman with blood (I think?) coming out of her eyes. Can you tell me what film that is, please?

Portugal didn´t produce any relevant horror movies but someday i hope that a portuguese horror movie could be blogged on your website ( maybe a Cristiano Ronaldo vs soccer Zombies or a Cristiano Ronaldo is the anti Christ flick?). Keep up the good work! An enormous thank you from Portugal!

  19. Hi. My name is Matthew Forte and I am a writer/director. My brother, Kevin, is also a filmmaker and together we are The Forte Brothers - one of the newest and most exciting filmmaking forces to recently emerge in the world of horror.

My brother and I have a production company called Forte Films Entertainment and we have made several short films and are working on several projects including our first feature film. The work we create, like our short film, "ANNA" about a zombie struggling with an eating disorder, is indelibly compelling and horrific from the first frame to the last.

Our most current project is a web series called "The Sin Reapers." We recently uploaded the first episode and the feedback has been positively amazing. I would really appreciate it, if you would take the time to view it. I posted a link to the first episode below.

  24. Reverse Image Finder is mainly finding the reverse image or original image source from web. There are many bloggers and content writers who want to write the similar topic which is already written by someone else. In that case finding the similar images is very important. It's really very hard to find out the similar image on internet. Reverse image search tool will do this job for you.

I personally spend many hours per week working ont he Release Date Pages, because what good is having a site that talks about movies, if you can't tell people when the movies are coming out? I really don't understand why so many movies sites, especially the bigger ones, fail to do this.

And how dare you not agree with all of our ratings. Don't you know we're always right?!? :)

  27. Hello dear Horror Club,

if I read it right, I'm allowed to ask about anything about any movie. My problem is that I watched ages ago the first part of a movie I wish to watch whole. We were at the home from some relatives and we left midways. It was a Hong Kong movie, I believe that it was a bunch of high school kids on a trip with their teachers to a rural area or an island where some creepy events took place. I remeber a family running a little store and there were 2 brothers. The young one was a bit retarded and his mother kidnapped a girl to marry her off to him, but before the wedding, his older brother raped her and when the mother found out that she wasn't a virgin anymore, she was angry. I don't know if the girl was killed or this part wasn't shown yet.

It would be awesome if you could tell me the name of this movie. (I speak chinese but can't read or write. Therefore I can't ask on chinese forums or at least don't want them mocking me.)

    Many thanks in advance.

  35. Hi J.S.,

I would appreciate it if you could check out and review my 3 minute horror/comedy short film about Chinese hopping vampires called The Hopping Dead. You can watch the film here: https://vimeo.com/173185441

I wrote and directed the film for Justin Lin's Interpretations 2.0 competition for YOMYOMF. The rules were the final film must be under 3 minutes long and must use these 4 lines of dialogue in this order with no additional dialogue or line substitutions. Other than that, you can do whatever story you want. The 4 lines of dialogue for the competition are:
    "Don't do that."
    "Of course."
    "I have my doubts."
    "What is it?"
    SYNOPSIS:
Two thieves break into a Chinese business only to stumble upon the terror that is the Chinese jiang shi, a corpse reanimated as a vampire by Chinese black magic that, because of rigor mortis, chases after its victims by hopping.
I would be happy to make myself available for any interviews or to answer any questions you may have about the film. Hope you enjoy it.

  46. Can you add US AND THEM as a VOD release on April 10 from The Orchard?

A darkly comic, raw and controversial thriller that packs a hard punch at the inequalities and divisions that led to Brexit and Trump's victory. Danny (Jack Roth), an ordinary working-class kid, is angry and frustrated at the rough deal he faces. When he confronts Conrad (Tim Bentinck) a member of today's privileged elite, he aims to teach him and his kind a lesson they will never forget.

Holding Conrad and his family hostage in their plush mansion, Danny, and his pals force Conrad into a deadly game of chance. Danny's master plan is to kick-start a revolution by streaming attacks against the super-rich one percent on the web. His ultimate goal? To terrify the elite into bringing about change.
The film made its world premiere at the 2017 South by Southwest Film Festival and created a stir when Drudge Report highlighted it as a political attack on the 1%.
