ICYMI: Our January Reviews!

We spent the month of January catching up on some reviews for movies that we saw late in 2016, as well as experiencing some of the first offerings that the new year brought us, and it was a mixed bag.

The best movies that we watched this month all came from the last month of 2016. The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Train to Busan, and Siren were all great flicks in their own unique ways, and they were definitely amongst the best that 2016 had to offer.

As far as the first crop of 2017 movies that we sampled, The Rezort was pretty entertaining, and Bornless Ones and Tell Me How I Die had their moments; while Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies, Bad Kids of Crestview Academy, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter all left something to be desired.

So here are all of the reviews that we did in January, listed in graded order, from “best” to “worst.” If you haven't read through them yet, feel free to do so now, and enjoy!

ICYMI: The VOD Releases of January!

Did you catch everything that premiered on VOD in January? Well now's your chance to see what you might have missed!

It wasn't the most impressive month for quality streaming titles, but there were some gems and pleasant surprises to be had like The Handmaiden, Detour, The Girl on the Train, The Similars, and Ouija: Origin of Evil.

Next month will be better for streaming. We promise.
