  • IT is a huge release, and one that should be watched by anyone who missed it in theaters. If you saw it in theaters, then you know that it's worth catching again. Read our review HERE.
  • The Killing of a Sacred Deer looks like a psychological thriller with an artistic bent, and it's one we're curious to check out.
  • And finally we have Friend Request, which has hung around in non-release and delayed-release limbo for so long, that we're not sure what to make of it. Might be alright, but it makes us nervous.
  • Happy streaming!

Blu-ray & DVD: The Digital Dread Report for 12/19

In a world where streaming movies in HD is growing in popularity, it gets harder and harder to justify spending hard earned money on physical media. The fact is though that when done right, nothing makes a movie look or sound better on Blu-ray, so we bring you The Digital Dread Report to help you figure out what's worth buying, and what you're better off streaming.

  • With only a few days left before Christmas, it's hard to expect a huge week for Blu-ray releases, but we do get Synapse's restoration of Suspiria which is honestly the best gift that we Horror faithful could hope for. Seriously, this is one to own.
  • Dunkirk was a great war flick, but as much as we love all things Christopher Nolan, we're not really sure what mass appeal that he thought a movie about this subject would have. Solid stuff though.
  • American Gothic is an 80's throwback that I honestly don't remember, but I know I saw. Probably means that buying it isn't in the cards for me, at least.
  • Leatherface was decent enough.
  • And Mother! did nothing for me, and I'm not sure why. Great cast, great director and great premise, but I didn't buy into it at all.

Be sure to click the pics below to buy the movies, or even rent them. Or both. Or neither. It really depends on your mood, now doesn't it?
