Blu-ray & DVD: The Digital Dread Report for 12/5!

In a world where streaming movies in HD is growing in popularity, it gets harder and harder to justify spending hard earned money on physical media. The fact is though that when done right, nothing makes a movie look or sound better on Blu-ray, so we bring you The Digital Dread Report to help you figure out what's worth buying, and what you're better off streaming.

There's not one bad Blu-ray release in the bunch this week, although the titles do cover a wide range of tastes.

  • Silent Night, Deadly Night and Better Watch Out (review HERE) pack a great 1-2 punch of Christmas-themed Horror.
  • The return of Twin Peaks was nothing if not odd, but then fans come to expect that from David Lynch. If you're a Peaks fan, then this latest chapter int he saga is a Must See.
  • Guardians is a crazy Russian Superhero flick that has to be seen to be believed.
  • The Crucifixion (review HERE) was a decent enough exorcism flick.
  • And American Assassin was a great action flick, anchored by Michael Keaton's performance, and it was much better than critics gave it credit for being.

Be sure to click the pics below to buy the movies, or even rent them. Or both. Or neither. It really depends on your mood, now doesn't it?
