A Quick FYI For You All

Last Monday, My Mom passed away. I'm not usually one to share personal things like that online, but I wanted to explain the lack of content around here as of late.

Being that I am the one of us who does all of the work on the site (reviews, posts, release date lists, etc...), the posts have been light, or more honestly, non-existent. That will change, and I'll try to get back to normal as soon as it's possible, it just hasn't been easy to focus on much since it happened.

Running this website is something I love. Not only because I love movies, but because it's a creative outlet for me, and it connects us (and me especially) to a world full of fellow movie-lovers. I've met a ton of great people from every corner of the world since starting our little site, and it's been nothing but a great experience.

The bottom line is that I appreciate every one of you guys as much as you appreciate what I, and the rest of our little Horror Club, do here. Probably even more so.

So don't give up on us. We're not going away. I'm just licking my wounds and trying to find my bearings.

Love and peace (and of course, Horror)
-J

  4. Awww! My condolences to you and your family.

So that explains the lack of posts lately and it's super understandable. Appreciate also that you and the gang are exerting so much effort to run this site. Been a fan since I've discovered this earlier this year. Watched a lot of movies, too, that I didn't even know exist because of this site. I'm a regular visitor and seeing no new materials on this site makes me sad. Glad that you're back and just be strong.

    Thanks again.

Never did I once think of commenting on any of the movie reviews or posts because well I'm lazy but not thankless. Today, when I read about the situation you are dealing with, I just wanted to say "I'm Sorry", I can't even begin to contemplate what you are going through. Please be brave and thank you for doing what you do.

  22. I lost my Mum to cancer in March. It was really sudden.
I'm a lecturer and other than the couple of days straight after I wasn't able to take time off. In retrospect that was a real mistake: my work was sloppy (no surprise) and it hurt like Fuck.

I'm saying be easy with yourself. No matter how old we are losing our Mothers is a life crisis like nothing else.

May she rest in peace (yours and mine!)
