A patriotic action flick; neighbor vs. neighbor; and a Supernatural Thriller about a Mother's love... it's certainly not the best week for VOD releases that we've seen, but at least there are a few decent options for anyone looking to beat the heat by having themselves an air-conditioned movie night.
*Be sure to click the pics to rent the movies, or watch their trailers. Or both. Or neither. It really depends on your mood, now doesn't it?
- 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi was a pretty solid "War" flick. It's no Black Hawk Down, or even Zero Dark Thirty, and it's really hard for us to buy John Krasinski as an action star, but it was an entertaining watch, none the less. James Badge Dale makes the movie. Rent it, because, America!
- The Ones Below looks interesting enough, but if we're being honest, we'll watch it just because it has Clemence Poesey in it. Rent it for the sexy French chick.
- The Other Side of the Door was an above average Supernatural Thriller. Read our full review HERE. Rent it if you like the standard Supernatural fare.
- Dusk and Sacrament look like really low budget efforts that should probably have gone straight to Netflix. We'll be taking a pass on them. Skip 'em, we say.
- Happy streaming!
