Blu-ray & DVD: The Digital Dread Report for 12/22

Being that this is Christmas week, there's not a lot doing on the Blu-ray & DVD Front, and next week won't be any better. We honestly won't really be getting any bigger or more high profile releases until the first week in January, but there are still a few titles each week that might be worth taking a look at.

  • The one release we're interested in this week is Nightmares; the 1983 Horror Anthology that was initially meant to be episodes of an ABC Anthology show but was deemed "Too scary for TV" or some such craziness. It stars the likes of Emilio Estevez and Lance Henriksen, and we ate this movie ups when we were kids, so to see it again in HD sounds like fun to us. It's not a Must Own for us, but if that price drops below the $20 mark, we might grab it for nostalgia's sake.
  • The Brain That Wouldn't Die is a campy 60's classic that will definitely appeal to a lot of folks, just not us. *We loive the MST3K version though.
  • Defiance and Dominion are two Syfy TV Shows that have loyal followings, but again, not us.
  • And finally we have Project Almanac. I'm not even going to type "not us" again, because it's beginning to sound redundant.

Man, that was a short list, and it reminds us just how much we can't wait for the new year to get here.
