Rey Ciso (Adam Brooks) was once the greatest editor the world had ever seen. Since a horrific accident left him with four wooden fingers on his right hand, he's had to resort to cutting pulp films and trash pictures. When the lead actors from the film he's been editing turn up murdered at the studio, Rey is fingered as the number one suspect. The bodies continue to pile up in this absurdist giallo-thriller as Rey struggles to prove his innocence and learn the sinister truth lurking behind the scenes.
This straight-up satire of Giallo films is one that we've been anxiously awaiting for months now. It looks like it's going to be right up our alley, even though it stars Paz de la Huerta; we're really not big fans of hers at all.
Now, if someone would just make a new, genuine Giallo film, we'd be thrilled. Anyone?

Frankly speaking, I never heard about The Editor before. When Scream Factory announced the title, I thought it was an old classic horror, which I also never heard and didn't care that much. But, after reading this post, I do really have interest in the flick and surprised it's a 2015 made film. I mean, take a look at those stills! Holy hell... Total classic scenes of giallo!

ReplyDeleteAnd surprisingly, there's Laurence R. Harvey himself! That's it, I'm going to buy this.
