There are basically two kind of Summer Horror movies: Those set at a Summer Camp of some sort, and those set on a beach in some tropical locale. Or local locale. The beach is the important part here. They usually involve a vacation of some sort, and lots of partying, and they most definitely involve a bevy of lovely ladies running around in skimpy bikinis, usually while fighting for their lives.
Throughout the Summer, we're going to be highlighting the Summer Horror movies that feature the best bikini-clad ladies, because eye candy and terror go hand in hand. Especially in the Summer.
Plus, we need stuff to watch that feels seasonally appropriate.
"Survivors escape to a deserted atoll after a Semester at Sea ship is sunk by a mutated two-headed shark. But when the atoll starts flooding, no one is safe from the double jaws of the monster as it eats fresh delicious women and men."
2-Headed Shark Attack might be a horrible movie (review HERE), but it's got a slew of of hot chicks running around in bikinis, so it's not a total loss. Carmen Electra is probably the hottest of them, but every lady brings something sexy to the table in this one. Just watch it with the volume off, and you'll be good.
"Refusing to let anything spoil their romantic weekend break, a young couple confront a gang of loutish youths with terrifyingly brutal consequences."
Eden Lake is a disturbing movie (review HERE), and it's not one that exists to show off sexy ladies in bikinis, like many Horror movies set in the Summer do, but Kelly Reilly is too captivating in that bikini to ignore. Michael Fassbender looks pretty good too, if that's your thing.
"A mere 200 yards from shore, surfer Nancy is attacked by a great white shark, with her short journey to safety becoming the ultimate contest of wills."
The Shallows doesn't come out until June 29th, so we can't really say what kind of movie it's going to be, but if its trailers are any indication, Blake Lively is looking both hot as hell and fierce in this one. We can't wait to see her face off against a massive shark. In that bikini.
"A weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to shark attacks."
Much like most Horror movies with the work Shark in their title, Shark Night 3D isn't very good (review HERE), but also like most Horror movies with Shark in their title, it's filled with gorgeous women running around in their best Summer attire, so it's at least visually redeemable. Sara Paxton puts on a cutie clinic in this one.
Here are five more Summer Horror flicks for you to explore to tide you over until we return with The Girls of Summer Part 2.
