Trailer: Rob Zombie's 31 (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3835080/
"Five carnival workers are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned, Hell-like compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive twelve hours against a gang of sadistic clowns."

Rob Zombie is a mixed bag for us. We really liked House of 1000 Corpses, and The Devil's Rejects is one of our favorite movies of the 00's. We even liked his Halloween remake well enough. We've also hated everything he's made ever since, but maybe that's just us.

This trailer for 31 looks alright, but it also looks exactly like his last 5 movies did. It just seems as though he hasn't grown as a filmmaker at all, and that he's perfectly content making the same movie over and over... which is all well and good, artistic vision being what it is and all, but he's got to start doing a better job of it. *He really needs to direct something that someone else wrote, because his scripts are pretty one-dimensional and "not great."

Still, maybe 31 will be a return to form for Zombie.

Check out the trailer below.

31 hits VOD on September 16th.
