- Nighthawks is a Crime Thriller starring Sylvester Stallone (and his magnificent, old school beard) that is so intense that it was actually featured in the 80's Horror Doc, Terror in the Aisles (review HERE.) This is a MUST OWN of the highest caliber.
- Pan's Labyrinth is a gorgeous, intense, and heartbreaking dark fairy tale that just may be Guillermo del Toro's best work, and The Criterion Collection is blessing us with a Special Edition of the film that not only boasts a brand new director-supervised 2K scan, but a slew of bonus features.
- We're glad to see that Scream Factory is bringing Child's Play to Blu-ray, as it's a movie that will always hold a special place in our hearts (formative years and all.) The new 2k scan from the interpositive should look nice. It's limited to 2000 copies, so if you have to have it, act quick.
- The Night of... was an excellent mini-series that further proves that no network does TV better than HBO. If you have yet to catch this masterpiece, grab a copy and enjoy one of the best things that was on TV in all of 2016.
- What We Become is an Apocalyptic infected/zombie flick out of Denmark has been on our radar for quite some time now, and we're pleased as punch that we'll finally be able to check it out on Blu-ray.
- The Waxwork Double Feature is a Must Own for lovers of 80's Horror.
- Body Snatchers puts a great 90's spin on the old tried and true Alien Invasion story.
- Bates Motel is a great show that just closed its best season yet, and it's worth grabbing on Blu-ray. We'll probably wait until the whole thing gets released in one big set next year though, after its final season airs.
On the DVD Front...
- The Good Neighbor looks great, and we'll be reviewing it soon.
- Razors could be fun. We dig Jack the Ripper stories.
- Vampyres was a decent-enough remake. Read our review HERE.
- And everything else, as always, is a crap-shoot.
