31 Days of Horror Blu-rays: Trick 'r Treat (2008)

"31 MUST OWN BLU-RAYS FOR THE HALLOWEEN SEASON."

"Five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with a demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater."

Alright, this one a no-brainer, but it's just about as perfect of a Halloween-themed movie as there is, and I can't remember the last time that a Horror flick captured us, enraptured us, and left us wanting more, more, more, like Trick r' Treat did. It captures the essence and atmosphere of Halloween like few other movies ever have, and takes us on a clever and near-perfect journey through it all every time we re-watch it.

Trick 'r Treat has become mandatory yearly watching for the creepy month of October. Period.

Special Features:

  • Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Michael Dougherty, concept artist Breehn Burns, storyboard artist Simeon Wilkins, and composer Douglas Pipes.
  • The Lore and Legends of Halloween.
  • Additional Scenes.
  • Season's Greetings animated short.
  • School Bus FX Comparison.

  1. This has to be one of my favorite movies ever. I always watch it during the Halloween week, but this year I could not wait and I already watched it in August. I'm still waiting for the sequel with excitement!
