SDCC '16: Season 5 Will the The Bates Motel's Last!

Season 5 will be the last for Bates Motel, and it makes sense; with Mother dead, there's really not much left for Norman to do except go full-on Psycho, which is exactly what will happen during the show's final season. it's a fitting way to close things out, I suppose.

Why they chose Rhianna to play the iconic Janet Leigh role though is a bit of a mystery to us. I guess they want the ratings.

No matter how it ends up playing out, we'll be tuning in to see it run its course.
