With only one more day until The Walking Dead closes out its 5th season (and most likely leaves us feeling upset and bewildered), we figured that we'd take a look at some short films that feature stories of a world gone zombie.
A father's love; some romance; The King of Pop; puppy love; and a Walking Dead Webisode; the following shorts are all great, and are sure to get you hungry for tomorrow night's festivities.
Cargo: Stranded in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, a man sets in motion an unlikely plan to protect the precious cargo he carries: his infant daughter.
As awesome as this short is, it's also pretty damn depressing. Excellent concept and execution though.
Zombies and Cigarettes: Zombies invade a mall ("in Spain?")and the hero Xavi tries to impress the girl he likes, defeat the zombies, and stay alive.
This one is fun, if silly. It's also got some above-average gore FX.
Thriller: A night at the movies turns into a nightmare when Michael and his date are attacked by a hoard of bloody-thirsty zombies - only "Thriller" can save them now.
No explanation needed.
I Love Sarah Jane: Jimbo is 13 and can think of only one girl -- Sarah Jane. And no matter what stands in his way-bullies, violence, chaos, or zombies-nothing will stop him from finding a way into her world.
We love the hell out of this short, and it's neat to see a pre-fame Mia Wasikowska starring in the title role.
TWD Webisode: The Oath: Karina and Paul escape from an overrun camp, and they arrive at a seemingly safe place, a former hospital that is run by a doctor. The doctor, however, has dark secrets.
You'll have to watch the other parts of "The Oath" on YouTube, as AMC has disabled embedding for them. If you want to watch all of The Walking Dead Webisodes (The Oath, Torn Apart, and Cold Storage), you can watch them at the AMC website HERE. They're definitely worth checking out.
