What's New on VOD this Week?

With It Follows taking the Theatrical route instead of landing on VOD like it was supposed to, this week in streaming isn't quite as big as it could have been. That's alright though, because it's great to see a movie like It Follows getting any sort of wide release.

We discussed The Hobbit and Digging up the Marrow a few weeks back when they were Early Releases, but as they are now available to rent (from $3.99) instead of only buy, we include them here as a cost-friendly reminder.

Nightlight: Five friends play a game in a ''mysterious'' forest with a long history as a beacon for troubled young people contemplating suicide.

Ah, idiot teenagers; the mainstay of Horror movies. What would we do without them? Have less victims in the movies that we love, I suppose. Anyhow, the trailer for this one looks pretty good, although it seems to me that it spoils a lot of the movie. As soon as our Zombie null are over, we'll definitely be checking this one out.

The Barber: The Barber, examines two men fixated on what triggers the enormity of evil: a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a killer, a son caught in a deadly charade as he tries to unravel his father's obsession.

Scott Glenn is one hell of an actor, and at age 74, it looks like he's still got what it takes to be an intimidating leading man. The Barber looks like it could end up being a fun Serial Killer Thriller, we're just hoping that it ends up having a little bit of a mean streak about it.
