70's Horror Hottie: Linda Blair

Linda Blair will always be the first 12-year-old girl that scared the ever loving shit out of me; The Exorcist is to this day one of the best, if not the best Horror movie ever made, and little Linda Blair's possessed performance is at the heart of it all. When most people hear her name, they can't help but think of the 1973 classic about the possessed little girl with the cracked face...

Nightmares to this day.
What we need to realize about Linda Blair though, is that she's given us so much more than just one amazing performance in one amazing film; after The Exorcist, she went on to give us plenty of nudity, exploitation, controversy, lesbianism, and a whole lot of sexy.

She also went on to give us The Exorcist 2, which sucked pretty bad.
She was pretty qt back in the day, and a then 25-year-old Rick Springfield must have thought so too, because he was playing "Jessie's Girl" with her when she was only 15-years-old. You don't want to know what that means, just trust me when I say it involved butter and a lot of weed... Also, it's pretty illegal unless you're from Alabama

She grew up before our eyes, and went from cute to creepy, back to cute, to pretty hot by the time she was 18. Life in Hollywood must have been hard and fast for Linda, because it wasn't long before she was lost in the world of underage drinking and sex!!!!

Born innocent... aren't we all.
She went on to star in some pretty cheesy movies in the late 70's, including that crap sequel to The Exorcist, and some bad Made-for-TV crappola, but she always remained hot, and in Hollywood, that's what really counts. As hot as she was though, I always try my best to forget that Roller Boogie exists...

The 70's were painful in many ways.
There were some rumors about Linda doing cocaine in the late 70's, but I choose to ignore those as well; sure she dated Rick James, and he even wrote his hit song "Cold Blooded" about her, but that proves nothing. Then again, Rick James liked his crack. Richard Pryor's (also liked his crack) ex-wife wrote in a book about having sex with Linda, and according to Google, she even dated Beverly D'Angelo.

All of that could be hearsay too, but I choose to believe that she was hot and bisexual. It's my right to do so.

Who wasn't doing cocaine in the 70's?
Linda Blair went on to star in a bunch of cheesy exploitation movies in the 80's, a lot of which she was naked in. Sure, her career never really moved about the level of Exploitation Flick, but who cares; she's the star of The Exorcist, and she rescues Pit Bulls in her spare time. That's good enough for us.

This is why she's the best!
All in all, we love Linda Blair; she was in one of the best Horror flicks ever, and she acted her ass off in it; she went from cute to hot; she may have been slutty; she may have been a coke-head; she had sex with chicks; she was so hot, that Rick James wrote one of the best funk songs ever about her; she got naked a lot; and she has great boobs. What's not to love?

  5. Anon, I can totally understand how a 14 year old today might think that The Exorcist is slow, pointless, not exciting...

For it's time though, it was terrifying. No one had seen anything quite like it in theaters before it was released, and it was very controversial.

That said, these days, it seems a bit tame compared to what the younger generation is used to having thrown at them.
