Trailer: Phantasm: Ravager (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3627704/
"Two men (Reggie Bannister, A. Michael Baldwin) join forces to defeat the evil, dimension-hopping Tall Man (Angus Scrimm) once and for all."

As good as Phantasm and Bubba Ho-Tep are, you'd figure that Don Coscarelli would get more work. Now maybe he just doesn't like directing or something, but the guy has only directed one movie (John Dies at the End) since Ho-Tep in 2002, and that just seems odd to me.

Whatever the case, he's back (at least as a writer) with Phantasm: Ravager, the 5th and final installment in the Cult Classic movie series, and if this trailer is any indication, it looks really, really, low budget, and I'm not sure I mean that in a good way.

Either way, we'll be checking this one out and hoping that it delivers the goods when it hits VOD in two weeks.

Judge for yourselves below.

Phantasm: Ravager hits VOD and Theaters (Limited) on October 7th.

  1. Really looking forward to this one, I've missed the Tall Man and his balls. I don't know why Coscarelli doesn't work more but he did direct John Dies At The End a few years back.
