What's New on VOD For the Week Ending May 1st?

VOD 550
There are only 3 movies of note hitting VOD this week, and just how of note they truly are, is really up to you. *That way, it's all on you if you watch them and hate them, because we'd really hate to be responsible for such a tragic outcome.

*Click the posters or art below to watch each movie's trailer, or rent them.

"After almost drowning in a lake, Madison finds herself bound to a life of fear. Unable to describe what happened to her during the moments she was underwater, she begins to develop hydrophobia: an abnormal fear of water. Crippled by her post trauma, Madison attempts to shut out the world but her fear intensifies and she is faced with the vision of a dark figure that haunts her day and night. After watching her struggle for one year with the phobia and visions, Madison's four friends attempt an unconventional intervention in which they accidentally open a floodgate to a dark place where none of them are safe. As Madison and her friends dive deeper into the dark history of this figure that haunts them, it reaches out and begins dragging them to a horrifying place that they can never come back from"

Now this is one movie that we've wanted to check out for a while. I mean, four hot chicks that do a bunch of bathtub seances seems like something that we just need to see, you know? Wet and afraid is how we like them.

We'll definitely be renting this one, and hoping for good things from The Drownsman.

"Twenty-one twisted tales made from a collective of genre loving filmmakers, Fun Size Horror: Volume One aims to chill and delight horror fans. From classic slashers and creature features, to horror-comedy and hauntings all made into bite size pieces. Like a bag of Halloween candy after a night of trick or treating, Fun Size Horror: Volume One is filled with the unexpected and not without the threat of the occasional razor blade. Which leaves only one question: Trick or treat?"

Fun Size Horror: Volume One is an anthology film that looks like it's a bit on the lower budget side of the fence, but it stars the always awesome Lance Reddick, and one of our favorite Horror Hotties, Amber Marie Bollinger, so you know what, we'll check it out.

Fingers crossed that it ends up being solid.

"When a brilliant but obsessive scientist goes to extremes to develop a universal cure for all disease, he finds himself infected with a bizarre parasite that begins to transform him into a bloodthirsty madman. Time running out, he must find a way to stop the monster that is growing within and prevent the rest of the world from being "cured."

We're not sure at all what to expect from Strange Blood. The trailer looks alright; it pretty much looks like every other low budget Horror flick that goes straight to DVD these days, but you never know, maybe it will be extra gory, or creepy, or good, or something.

Then again, maybe not.
