What's New on VOD for the Week Ending 5/15?

VOD 550
I know this weekend that most genre movie lovers will be out seeing Mad Max: Fury Road, and rightly so, but we still need some quality VOD titles to watch while we're winding down for the night... and there's definitely no shortage of those this week.

  • Kingsman, Loft, and Time Lapse are all $14.99.
  • Everything else is priced for rental at below $10.
  • Time Lapse is available to stream only on iTunes for now.
  • Click the pics below to stream the movies or watch their trailers.

Anarchy Parlor: A mysterious nomad known as the "Artist" practices a dark art form passed down through the generations. He creates much more than tattoos for tourists who visit his Lithuanian Tattoo Parlor.

In addition to the fact that Anarchy Parlor looks all kinds of bloody and nasty, we love its main baddie. Robert LaSardo is one of those character actors who you may not know by name, but who makes you instantly say "Oh, him!" the second you see him. We love the idea of him playing a sinister creep like he is in this one, and so we're all aboard for the ride. Hope it's a crazy one.
Every Secret Thing: A detective looks to unravel a mystery surrounding missing children and the prime suspects: two young women who, seven years ago, were put away for an infant's death.

We're suckers for Crime Thrillers, so this one was on our radar the second we heard about it. After seeing the trailer, and with Elizabeth Banks and Dakota Fanning heading up the cast, we're even more hyped to sit down and watch it.

Even though Every Secret Thing is based on a book, we have no idea what we're going to get from this one, but we're hoping it's something nail-bitingly good.
Kingsman: The Secret Service: A spy organization recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program, just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

We're all for action movies existing only to showcase gratuitous violence in stylish ways, and it looks as if Kingsman is going to be exactly that. Bring on the mayhem and wit, please.
Time Lapse: Three friends discover a mysterious machine that takes pictures 24hrs into the future and conspire to use it for personal gain, until disturbing and dangerous images begin to develop.

As much as we enjoy movies like Memento, Primer, Timecrimes, Looper, Predestination,etc... we're intrigued to see what Time Lapse has to offer in the way of time-traveling and reality-bending. It's never a bad thing to have to watch Danielle Panabaker on screen for a few hours either, so, bonus for us.
