A terrifying, hungry clown; Tarantino's latest; a half-assed remake of a cheesy 90's action flick; and a couple of B-movie question marks... this is the week in VOD Releases!

CLOWN |
The Eli Roth-produced Clown was first released in 2014 (Europe), and has since been properly released in a bunch of countries all over the world... except for the U.S. Not sure what the deal was with the distribution, but at least it's finally being released here on VOD for curious fans to check out.
We found Clown to be a decent enough movie that could have been way better, but it will no doubt terrify anyone who has a healthy fear of clowns. You can read our review below for our informed opinion of the movie.
Rent it if clowns give you nightmares.
- The Hateful Eight wasn't as good as we expected it to be, especially in its early-going, but the back half was pretty strong, and it was pretty good overall. Not Tarantino's best by a long shot, but definitely worth a watch, if his flicks are your thing.
- The Hours Till Daylight looks aright, although it's got that hollow, low-budget air about it.
- Point Break is one movie that we had no desire to see at all, not just because it was a remake, but because it just didn't look that good. It might be a fun, absent-minded watch when it shows up on Netflix though.
- Prom Ride looks decent enough, for a B-grade movie.
- Happy streaming!
