Blu-ray & DVD: The Digital Dread Report for 12/13

In this, the last big week for Blu-ray releases before Christmas, and this year, for that matter, we get more than a few movies that look to be well worth our hard-earned cash. Because we're giving them as presents, not because we're buying them for oursleves, and forget everyone else.

Yeah. Gifts.

*Be sure to click the pics below to buy the movies, or even rent them. Or both.

  1. Black Christmas (review HERE) is a classic 70's Slasher that paved the way for many, many movies that followed after, including the original Halloween. It's an excellent movie, and one that you should scoop up on Blu-ray immediately, especially in this new Collector's Edition brought to you by Scream Factory
  2. Creepshow 2 has been a long time coming to Blu-ray, and now that Arrow Video has given it their usual HD treatment, it's one that we definitely need to own.
  3. Dreamscape might be a fun movie to re-visit, when we're in that 80's throwback kind of mood.
  4. I Am Not a Serial Killer is on our list of new movies that we need to see, and this new Blu-ray release gives us that chance.
  5. Morgan (review HERE) was a great movie that deserves an audience. If you have yet to see it and are curious, go for it.
  6. Suicide Squad was fun, if flawed, and it's one that I'll be adding to my personal library.
  7. We're sitting on a screener for The Devil Lives Here, which we're excited to watch because the trailer looked really good. We'll let you know.
  8. And everything else, as always, is a crap-shoot. *For the record, "crap-shoot" means it's anyone's guess as to the quality of said films, not that they're crap. Necessarily.
