What's New On VOD This Week? (12/22-1/2)

http://thehorrorclub.blogspot.com/p/vod.html
We didn't post a VOD column during the week of Christmas, because it got busy with the holidays and all. There honestly weren't a lot of titles released to VOD over the last two weeks of 2015 anyhow, so you didn't miss all that much.

Next week, What's New On VOD will be back in full swing. For now though, here's a quick rundown of the notable VOD titles that were released over the past two Holiday weeks.

Dec 29bDec 22bDec 22mDec 22Dec 22cDec 22v
  • Body is one that we're curious about, although it hasn't gotten the best advance reviews thus far. Maybe the presence of Larry Fessenden will make it fun. Who knows.
  • The Green Inferno hasn't fared very well with critics either, and even hardcore fans of Eli Roth seem to be divided on its merit, but we had a lot of fun with it. (Review HERE.)
  • The Martian was one of the best movies of 2015, and one of the best pure Sci-Fi movies that we've seen in years. If you're looking for an exciting movie that will make you laugh as much as it makes you jump, then this one is it.
  • Another one of 2015's best movies, Sicario is not only a slick Action Thriller, but it boasts an Oscar-worthy performance by Benicio del Toro. Definitely worth a rent.
  • Sinister 2 was a better sequel than most gave it credit for, and if you go into it not expecting it to be as good as the first one, then you'll probably dig it. (Review HERE.)
  • M. Night Shamalayananana's The Visit was one that we didn't love, but it wasn't bad at all, and in fact, it made many Horror Critics' Best of lists for 2015. It's probably worth a rent if you think the trailer looks good.

Happy streaming!
