Trailer: Emilie (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4503598/
"After their regular babysitter Maggie can’t make it, the Thompson family turns to her friend Anna to supervise their children while the parents go out to celebrate their anniversary. At first Anna seems like a dream come true to the kids, allowing them to eat extra cookies and play with things that are usually off-limits, but as her behavior becomes increasingly odd, the kids soon find out that her intentions are dark and twisted, and she is not who she seems to be."

Watching the trailer for Emelie took us back to the 90's, where evil babysitters and nannies seemed to have their own sub-genre of their own for a while. They were usually fun, shameless movies that teased exploitative goodness, but usually ended up playing more like a Lifetime movie of the week.

Emelie, however, looks like it's going to have a mean-spirited edge to it, and that is awesome.

We've been fans of Sarah Bolger since The Moth Diaries, and we have no doubt that she can pull off mean and crazy, so sign us up. We're at least happy to see her give it her best shot.

Check it out below.

Emelie will be in Limited Theatrical release and VOD on March 4th.

  1. This movie looks pretty good and Bolger is a cutie/hottie, as anyone that saw her Esquire photoshoot already knows.
