Gear up for a cult classic you've got to see to believe: R.O.T.O.R! When corrupt Police Commander Earl Buglar (Michael Hunter) orders the development and construction of the ultimate weapon in the war on crime, robotics expert Barrett Coldyron (Richard Gesswin) warns against the dangers of such a project – and loses his job in the process. But when the prototype R.O.T.O.R (Robotic Officer Tactical Operation Research) is accidentally activated, the city is suddenly faced with a rampaging mechanical maniac acting as judge, jury, and executioner – and only Coldyron can stop him!

Millennium is a fine film and all, but it's R.O.T.O.R. that we're really here for!

I've mentioned it before (more than once) that before we were The Horror Club, we were The Bad Movie Club; not on the Internet or anything, but in our real, everyday lives.

It started when one of us got another of us a horrible movie as a gag gift for a birthday or Christmas (can't remember which movie, or which occasion), which prompted them to do the same thing back. Then I said "We need to sit down and watch these movies together." It was such a fun experience, that soon all of us started doing it, came up with the "If we buy someone a movie, we all have to sit down and watch it together" rule, and for the next of three years or so, we used every occasion that came along to buy everyone the worst movies we could find.

And I don't mean like Transformers 4 bad, I'm talking truly horrible movies like Alien Warrior, Nukie, Gymkata, The Room, or Ice From the Sun bad. The kind of bad movies that the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys built an empire around.

WE'VE SEEN SOME THINGS, MAN.
One of the worst movies we ever saw, and objectively one of the worst movies ever made, was R.O.T.O.R., and with our Bad Movie Club history, I literally pumped a fist in the air when I read that Scream Factory was releasing it on Blu-ray.

R.O.T.O.R. is a horrible terminator rip-off of Terminator and Robocop that is so stunningly bad, it's hard to believe anyone made this movie and thought it would be good... but damn is it ever 90 minutes of hilariously bad fun. Check out the trailer HERE for an idea of just how bad it is.

If you like to watch bad movies and laugh your ass off, then you owe it to yourself to check out R.O.T.O.R.

We might even start doing our Bad Movie Friday reviews again because of this release.

The Millennium/R.O.T.O.R. Blu-ray 2-Pack will be released on February 23rd
