Three new movies of note hit VOD this week, and they all look to be worthwhile in their own distinct ways.
The Signal |
We saw The Signal not long ago, and we have to say that it was pretty good. Odd, confusing in parts, and a bit open-ended, but good. If you like a good Sci-Fi yarn, and don't mind movies that don't wrap everything up all neat at the end, then this movie may well please you.
I mean, it's got Laurence Fishburne running around and acting all ominous in a containment suit, how can you not love that?
White Bird in a Blizzard |
If you've ever seen a Greg Araki movie, and we've seen plenty, then you know he's about the least conventional Indie filmmaker out there. Because he makes such offbeat and sexually charged films, we're curious to see what he does with a Thriller like this.
Hopefully Shailene Woodley turns out to be a Serial Killer or something. A Serial Killer that gets naked often, and gratuitously.
Asmodexia |
Good Exorcism movies are about as rare as unicorns, and so we'd really like this one to turn out to be an exception to the rule. The Spanish do know how to do Supernatural movies well enough, so we're pretty excited to see how this one turns out.
Please be good.
