Kevin Bacon out to kill some kids; Abigail Breslin out for blood; and Mad frigging Max... this week's VOD releases offer a little bit of something for every kind of taste. Or at least four different kinds of taste. You get the point.

Air: In the near future, breathable air is nonexistent and two engineers (Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou) tasked with guarding the last hope for mankind struggle to preserve their own lives while administering to their vital task at hand.
A Sci-Fi Thriller starring Norman Reedus and the criminally underrated (and underused) Djimon Hounsou? There's absolutely no way that we're not watching this one.
Cop Car: A pair of ten-year-olds find an abandoned cop car in a field. When they take it for a joyride, it seems like they could kill themselves at any moment. But things only get worse when the small town sheriff goes looking for his missing car. The kids find themselves in the center of a deadly game of cat and mouse they don't understand and the only way out is to go as fast as their cop car can take them.
Kevin Bacon playing a seedy Sheriff who is out to catch, and possibly kill some kids? There is no way that we're not watching this one either.
*I know, we're starting to sound redundant here, but what can you do? Kevin Bacon is the man.
Final Girl: A psychological thriller about a beautiful teen girl new to town who is lured out to the woods by a group of senior boys to be the victim in their final initiation. Taught by her trainer, William, to be a lethal weapon, she turns the hunters into the hunted with a level of perversity far beyond anything they could have ever imagined.
Fresh off of watching this one, we can say that Final Girl is little more than an exercise is style over substance. Now, if you value striking visuals above all else, and could care less about story or characters, that may not be a bad thing at all. Read our review below for a more in-depth take on the movie.
Mad Max: Fury Road: An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
If you didn't see Fury Road in theaters, then shame on you, because you missed out on one hell of an adrenaline-fueled ride. Never fear though, because we live in a day and age where you can see a movie on VOD a mere three months after it's released in theaters, so you can rectify that egregious mistake right now, in the comfort of your own living rooms.
It's a great movie folks, so don't miss out!
