What's New on VOD This Week? (7/11-7/14)

All of this week's new VOD offerings are of the lower-budget, B-grade variety, but a few of them actually look like they might be worth a rental.

*Be sure to click the pics to rent the movies, or watch their trailers. Or both. Or neither. It really depends on your mood, now doesn't it?

*If you aren't already a member, you should really give Amazon Prime a shot, especially if you order movies on the regular like we do, because the free two-day shipping pays for itself after around 10 orders. Check it out for free HERE.

  • 7 From Etheria is an Anthology flick that looks like it could rock. We almost passed this one up on Amazon, but decided to give the trailer a look... and we're glad we did. This one's definitely on our list.
  • The Glass Coffin might be the sleeper hit of the week for us. This Spanish movie about a woman trapped in a limo just looks well-made, and the best part is that it's streaming for free via Amazon Prime. *See why we're always telling you to join prime?
  • A Beginner's Guide to Snuff could be a total disaster, but something about the trailer grabbed us. Would we rent it? With the backlog of movies we're working through, probably not, but if it popped up on Netflix, we'd definitely give it a look.

As far as the rest of the week's crop of releases go...

  • 5150 and The Forgotten look like they might surprise us and be redeemable.
  • Everything else looks like they offer various degrees of cheese, so maybe B-movie fans will dig them.
  • Happy streaming!
