Unless you're looking to grab yourself a copy of The Jungle Book, this week's Blu-ray crop is a bit underwhelming. Although, The Avenging Disco Godfather is a piece of quality Blaxploitation, and Star Wars Rebels is actually pretty good for a cartoon. And The Night Manager was a pretty good mini-series.
The only Horror Blu-ray being released this week, Evils of the Night is a Bad Movie 80's gem that boasts John Carradine, Ginger from Gilligan's Island, Catwoman from the original Batman series, and Porn Star Amber Lynn amongst the cast. It's awful, but in a fun, Bad Movie kind of way.
As far as Arrow Season Four goes, that show has gotten so bad that I'm pretty sure it's meant to be a straight-up comedy now.
Don't worry though, September will be bringing us plenty of true Horror releases to salivate over, so this last, underwhelming week of august will just allow us to save our money for them.
