The Theatrical Trauma of April 19th

This week has Rob Zombie's newest flick, The Lords of Salem, hitting VOD as well as making the Theatrical rounds in Limited Release. We haven't really loved anything that Zombie has done since his Halloween remake way back in 2007, so we're really holding out hope that this will be a return to his earlier days of film making; at this point, we'll take anything that doesn't suck as bad as Halloween 2 or El Superbeasto.

Oblivion looks like it's going to be a fun Post-Apocalyptic flick, and we're definitely down to see it. Call him crazy, call him what you will, but Tom Cruise is the man. His movies are consistently good (not counting Rock of Ages), and there's no reason why this one should be any different.

At home, Netflix is launching their Hemlock Grove TV series this weekend, in their popular "all episodes at once" manner. We're definitely looking forward to this one, and we're hoping that Eli Roth will do us proud.

As for the week's Limited Releases, we have no idea what to expect...

Love Sick Love looks to be standard VOD fare, and we didn't even know there was a Holla, so who in the hell knows what Holla 2 is all about. Still, both are at least options.

Looks like Zombie, Cruise and Roth for us this weekend.

  1. Hello, I know this doesn't have anything to do with this post-but I didn't see another way to contact the site to ask a question.

I'm curious as to what film the image is from that is your "top 10" icon-its a girl with a blue (bloodied) shirt on laying in the grass. I flipped thru your top ten lists for a while back in hopes I'd find out but couldn't. Thanks so much!
