The Digital Dread Report for October 2nd

The creepiest month of the year is finally here! You just know there's going to be some new flicks for us to devour on DVD and Blu-ray, right?

First and foremost, we need to get a cop of Pet Sematary on Blu-ray. It's a classic, and we can;t wait to see it in HD. We already own the Nightmare on Elm Street collection on DVD, so we're not sure if we're going to upgrade or not. It does look tempting though...

The Hole is also one we'd like to own, if the price is right. We also have to admit that we want to get The Princess Bride on Blu-ray too, because it's just a great flick. That does NOT kill our horror credibility!

Red Lights, Chained, Iron Sky, Dark Shadows... each of them have their merits, but they aren't destined to be owned by us. We have to admit (again) that Dark Shadows wasn't as horrendous as we thought it would be.

A lot of this weeks releases are more towards the action and Sci-Fi end of the spectrum, although that isn't a bad thing. We'll definitely be grabbing Public Enemies and Cyborg to add to our BD collection. We've also heard great things about Flying Swords at Dragon Gate, so we will most likely give that one a go too.

The rest of this weeks releases get a pass from us. Not because they all suck or anything, but because we're finicky. Plus, we're busy with our 31 Days of Horror stuff, so, yeah.
