Tonight is Banshee & Helix night!

Friday night is no longer the dumping ground for shitty TV Shows that it used to be. There's plenty of popular Genre fare to be found on Fridays, including Haven, Strike Back, Grimm, Supernatural... even Hannibal will be in the 10 P.M. slot on Fridays when it returns in February.

Tonight, two shows begin their seasons: one new, and one returning for its much-anticipated second go-around.

Cinemax's Banshee is one of the coolest shows on TV. If you didn't see its First Season last year, you missed out on some crazy, over-the-top, sexy, brutal, ass-kicking fun. I mean, anytime that you get the Amish, some Native Americans, some dirty whores, and a bunch of criminals together in one town, things are bound to go bad for everyone, right?

Blood, sex, violence, the coolest Asian cross-dresser ever, hot ass Ivana Milicevic, a Sheriff who beats everyone's ass, an Amish gangster and his smoking hot niece, and Frankie Faison... That's what you get with Banshee

Hand to God, Banshee is a guilty pleasure of the highest caliber, and you should give it a look.

Tonight @ 10 P.M. on Cinemax.

SyFy rolls out their new hour long tonight as well, which we obviously haven't seen yet, but are very curious about.

"According to the SyFy Channel press release, "Helix is an intense thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic, Arctic Biosystems, to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. However, the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg, and as the virus evolves, the chilling truth begins to unravel."

What the hell, sounds decent enough to give at least the Pilot a chance, no?

Tonight @ 10 P.M. on SyFy.
