The Theatrical Trauma of January 25th

As January comes to a close, there's one more batch of Theatrical Releases for us to potentially spend our time and money on this weekend.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is the week's best bet. It could end up being a mess, but it looks fun and we're all for taking our chances with it.

John Dies at the End is in Limited Release this week, and is definitely worth a look if it hits an art house or theater near you.

Comedown is being released in the U.K. only, so we will not be seeing it this weekend, unless someone wants to fly us over and let us crash on their couch.

As for the week's non-horror releases, Movie 43 is jam-packed with movie stars and looks like a lot of dirty fun, and Parker looks like just about every other Jason Statham movie that has come out over the past five years.

Maybe February will be a stronger month for Theatrical Releases...

  1. Hansel & Gretel was cheesy but it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it.
