What's new on VOD this week?

VOD 550
There are only two movies of note hitting VOD this week, but they're both movies that we're really excited to see, so we can live with lack of selection. They both also involve guys who hear voices in their heads... Go figure.

Enter the Dangerous Mind: A reclusive American composer with an online following has a tentative romance with a beautiful social worker. This offers a glimmer of hope, but his mind fractures as the voices in his head grow louder and more destructive.

Enter the Dangerous Mind is a psychological Thriller about a mentally unstable composer who becomes even more so when he starts obsessing over a hot chick, sexily played by Nikki Reid (love that girl.) Reviews for this one have been mixed so far, but just watching the trailer makes us want to rent it right now.

*Plus, Scott Backula is in this movie, and every time we think of him we think of Harry D'amour, which reminds us of Clive Barker, which reminds us that his next book is going to be a big showdown between Pinhead and Harry D'amour... so yeah, we're Scott Backula fans.

The Voices: A dark comedy about a likable guy (Ryan Reynolds) pursuing his office crush with the help of his evil talking pets - but things turn sinister when she stands him up for a date.

There are two movies that we've been dying to see since last year's Sundance Festival: Cooties, and The Voices, and now we finally get to see one of them. Why did it take a year for it to hit VOD though? Ridiculous.

I don't care what anyone says, we love Ryan Reynolds; mainly because he's naturally funny and can play action convincingly, but he just comes off a likbale in general. The problem with him is that he picks some shitty movies to star in (or they pick him, whichever.) The Voices however, looks to be one of the better projects that he's chosen lately: it's got a clever premise, looks darkly funny, and the reviews have been mostly positive so far. It's also got Anna Kendrick and Gemma Arterton in it, so bonus for us.

We'll be seeing this one asap, and we suggest you do the same. *Don't blame us if it sucks though. We're easily swayed.
