He is all about dialogue and people. His movies will have 10 minute dialogue scenes about a burger joint or something. I love all that is Tarantino, but this movie seems nothing like him.

The constant music playing in the loudspeakers, the trippy flashes of the bad guy coming from the dark, none of that is in any of his movies. Plus the fact that there is so little dialogue, I don't even think he would be able to make a movie like this.

But hey, It's just My opinion so yeah.Mkeithddchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12461896407976425868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8877385849157369308.post-79104930915906426732016-07-18T11:52:26.041-04:002016-07-18T11:52:26.041-04:00I have to say that I liked the 1st part better tha...I have to say that I liked the 1st part better than the middle part and at the time the 3rd part were rolling, it was okay that it turned out to be another kind of movie. A decent movie with a great female lead. The reason why this park had been built is a lame excuse but there are people out there ready to blame anything and anybody for their crappy life. All in all, I agree that this is worth a C grade. myra-bellenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8877385849157369308.post-74603801916641148282016-07-15T14:03:54.949-04:002016-07-15T14:03:54.949-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06480741601963188916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8877385849157369308.post-12402459341371064822016-07-08T14:16:01.951-04:002016-07-08T14:16:01.951-04:00Darling is definitely on my list to see soon. Forgot about that one until you mentioned it.

Everything you said abut Carnange Park is spot on, and I went "C" instead of lower because its redeemable parts were pretty solid.

He totally aped Tarantino though lolThe M'haelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00770238259793573664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8877385849157369308.post-17399744038943087122016-07-07T17:06:52.021-04:002016-07-07T17:06:52.021-04:00I'm almost with you here. Now, if I had read interviews with Keating where he acknowledges this I would be more forgiving, but I have yet to see this from the ones I've read. Darling is in my top three Horror films of the year. It's imaginative with an awesome performance from Lauren Ashley Carter who just keeps getting better and better every time I see her. Even though it commits one of the deadly sins of modern horror at one point (super fast shaky head - STOP DOING IT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!) It's positives way out weigh the one or two negatives. Carnage Park on the other hand doesn't allow for me to be that forgiving. It's got great performances and yes, some real tension, in particular the last 20 minutes TCM2 style and all, which I kind-of forgive, but I just thought overall it was a mess tonally.
