Time Machine to our youth is exactly what it is.

Near Dark is excellent too. It's on the other side of the gritty spectrum, like you said, but it's great.

The M'haelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00770238259793573664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8877385849157369308.post-27606902904051935232016-07-29T03:15:12.244-04:002016-07-29T03:15:12.244-04:00This is one of my favourite 80's flicks, easy....This is one of my favourite 80's flicks, easy. Stylish is the perfect word. No, it's not as gritty and raw as the other vampire flick released that year, Near Dark - I did not discover that gem until years later, but still for me it would still take a backseat to The Lost Boys, just for the nostalgia factor. I think people like to downplay it as a legit horror flick because they see it as a 'Corey's movie" and that Joel Shumacher went on to direct those crapy Batman sequels. For me - a time machine to my youth, a great summer thrill ride and great tunes. Great review!MastorPartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11207881939031768778noreply@blogger.com
