Short Film Saturday: NightmARes (2016)

It's got to be hard making short films, as no matter how great they may be, as they kind of disappear into the nether after their initial Festival Circuit runs are finished, if they are even lucky enough to get one.

That's why we've decided to showcase some of the many great Horror Shorts that are out there floating around the Interwebs: some are scary, some are fun, and every now and then, we even find one that's a work of art.

The bottom line is that plenty of time and effort went into making them, so they at least deserve to be seen, don't they?

"Put on a headset and step inside a frighteningly immersive environment, where all is not as it seems."

Short and sweet.

I'm not sure if the whole VR headset thing has really caught on or not yet, or it it ever will, but I've got to say that it's a pretty cool toy to play with. It's also got a lot of potential as a tool to use for Horror flicks and video games.

This short film is pretty clever, and aside from the lame, predictable final shot, it was fun to watch. Of course, the fact that Victoria Morrison is gorgeous to look at made it all the more compelling.

Not bad.

  1. Since you're showcasing some of the horror short films there's one I came across earlier this week, "The Jigsaw"..9minute full film is available on YouTube.. it's fantastic, and the 20minute "Making Of" is jaw dropping.. give it a look, and see if you agree?

  2. Why is this website not approving a single comment/post of mine? Ugh!? Frustrating!

  3. I'd like to highly recommend a short horror film that was recommended to me via YouTube.. The Jigsaw-2014-9 minute run time. There is also a Making Of, that is impressive as hell, to say the least.
