Trailer: Rings (2016)

"In Rings, a young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…"

The Ring was a modern day classic. The Ring Two: Electric Boogaloo was a modern day disappointment. Now, 11 years after that lackluster sequel, Hollywood is taking another try at the series with Rings. The fact that it wrapped filming back in June of 2015, was set to be released that November, and then was delayed a handful of times, makes us wonder if it's going to suck. The trailer looks promising though. Mostly.

Either way, I'm sure it will be on our watch list come October.
